The Warriors’ dynasty seems to be ending, and after one championship with the franchise, Quinn Cook will depart from Golden State. Struggling with cap space, the amount of money they can spend on players, the Warriors were forced to let both Cook and veteran fan-favorite Andre Iguodala go this summer. Quinn was a restricted free agent, meaning he would return with a qualifying offer, but the Warriors’ front office rescinded their offer, making him an unrestricted free agent. After his success, however, with the league’s best team, he shouldn’t have too much trouble finding a new home. The Warriors will be sad to see him go; he wasn’t specifically the Dubs’ star player but his grit and hard work made him a coaches’ and players’ favorite. This isn’t surprising to Duke fans, who all saw Quinn’s heart in the 2015 championship run he led as well as his previous three seasons in Durham. Bleed blue.
