Jahlil Okafor to New Orleans

Former Duke center and National Champion Jahlil Okafor has agreed to a partially guaranteed deal with the New Orleans Pelicans for the next year. There is a team option for 2019-2020, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports. After his All-Rookie team debut season with the 76ers, his role in Philly diminished quickly and he was traded to Brooklyn. He became a free agent this summer. The Pelicans lost C DeMarcus Cousins to the Warriors through free agency and gained C Julius Randle, former Kentucky standout, from the Lakers.
